Bright Cause launches BrightIAM podcast with first series: Impact at Altitude

Bright Cause is proud to announce the launch of BrightIAM, a new podcast platform dedicated to amplifying impact-driven voices, championing lived experience, and spotlighting the people shaping a better future.

The first series, Impact at Altitude, takes listeners behind the scenes of an extraordinary challenge: a 40-person trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in January 2026, raising vital funds for Kidscape, the anti-bullying charity helping children grow in confidence and feel safe.

Launching during Anti-Bullying Week, the series brings together climbers, creatives, explorers, and ambassadors for honest, uplifting conversations about purpose, resilience, and why this climb matters.

Series 1: Impact at Altitude — Episode highlights

Episode 1: Uncharted Summits & Anthea Turner

Host Lucy Black sits down with Luke and Craig from the Uncharted Summits expedition team to explore the heart of the challenge: the emotion, logistics, and ambition behind leading a diverse group up Africa’s highest peak.
They talk preparation, team dynamics, and what it really takes to safely guide 40 people to the Roof of Africa.

Lucy is then joined via online link by Anthea Turner, who shares why she said yes to the climb of a lifetime. From her training routine to the mental prep - and whether Kilimanjaro will rival the intensity of SAS: Who Dares Wins — Anthea brings humour, honesty, and a genuine commitment to the cause.

Episode 2: Josh Braid & Andrew Barton

A powerful and heartfelt episode with Antarctic explorer Josh Braid and celebrity hairdresser and advocate Andrew Barton, both long-standing Kidscape ambassadors.

Josh and Andrew open up about their personal experiences, their unwavering commitment to anti-bullying work, and why building safer, kinder communities for young people remains urgent.

Together with Lucy, they reflect on the Ambassadors Stand United event earlier this year, discuss the creative projects in the pipeline — including the Roof of Africa documentary and Smiley Award film entry — and share their hopes for the January 2026 climb, expected to raise over £100,000 for Kidscape.

Episode 3: Dan Lustig

In a warm, funny, and deeply open conversation, Lucy is joined by Gogglebox favourite Dan Lustig.

Dan reflects on his friendship with Lucy, his busy life both on and off-screen, and what inspired him to take on Kilimanjaro. The pair discuss the challenges young people face today — particularly cyberbullying — and why supporting Kidscape’s mission matters.

Dan talks training mishaps, altitude nerves, fundraising plans, 2026 diary highlights, and even answers the big question:
Will he be walking the Roof of Africa documentary red carpet solo… or not?

A platform for purpose-driven storytelling

BrightIAM celebrates the voices behind the mission — from adventurers to advocates, creatives to campaigners. Impact at Altitude showcases the courage, compassion and community spirit driving this ambitious challenge and the charity it supports.

Lucy Black, host of BrightIAM, said:

“Every conversation in this series centres humanity, heart and hope. These are people climbing for a reason — and their stories deserve to be heard.”
